So even though it was uncannily accurate in describing Katrina, I didn't take my 5/9/2005 predictions as a "hit" and stayed focused on the new date that was ringing out to me at the time - 11/18/2005.
Post-Katrina, I also offered the following:
When I told you all way back when in May that I sensed some kind of great disaster was coming and that I referred to it as THE CLEARING, I had something very different than Katrina (and Rita) in mind. Now I could just say to you all (and myself) "Well, Katrina (and Rita) must have been what I was sensing" and just be done with it. I mean, we certainly experienced a CLEARING with Katrina. It came in and cleared out the land. It cleared out the people. And it left a hole in the earth in its wake like nothing we've seen in recent memory. So it certainly fits the bill as a form of CLEARING. So did Rita. But on a much smaller scale. So I could just say that these two back-to-back disasters were, in fact, THE CLEARING. But if I did that, I wouldn't be telling you the truth. I would be telling you a LIE simply for the sake of claiming a psychic "hit". I won't do that. Unlike many others in this line of work, I specialize in KEEPING IT REAL. There are literally thousands of LIARS and FRAUDS out there (you know who you are) who make wild claims each and every week regarding so-called "hits" that just aren't real. And since KEEPING IT REAL is my over-arching policy, I cannot ascribe Katrina (or Rita) to the "vibe" I was getting over 4 months ago. I still have that vibe. I still sense that something else is coming.
THE CLEARING involves the detonation of a nuclear device (a "dirty bomb") within a large metropolitan area. There, I said it.
To be very specific about where this will happen: when I envision THE CLEARING, I envision that it will occur somewhere in the heart of NYC. The resulting Dead Zone will stretch out in all directions. Its dark tentacles may even reach out to My Homeland (Sussex County in Northwest NJ). Who knows. But certainly, Ground Zero for the disaster will be the hardest hit and will be wiped off the face of the map. And I'm still sensing that THE CLEARING is yet to come. Yes, despite everything we saw with Katrina, it was NOT what I've been sensing all these months as THE CLEARING.

So as you can see, at the time, I decided that my 5/9/2005 post was NOT referring to The Event. Well, here it is, over a year later, and I do believe I've changed my mind about that. I've started to think the following: why the heck WOULDN'T I claim it as a hit?! I mean, in general, the language I used to describe the event was sure On Target. The fact that I said it would take such a long time to get to the victims was totally On Target. When Katrina hit, I had dozens of people saying "OMG - THE CLEARING" --- at the time, I told them to settle down. But seriously folks, upon reflection, that was absolutely a hit. And I should have claimed it at the time. But eerily enough, 11/18 ended up having tremendous significance as well.
Post-11/18, I wrote what you'll read below in response to a comment made on Usenet by Rev. Ivan Stang from the Church of the SubGenius. Here is that quote:
"[he] called it 'The Clearing' and you could tell he was really looking forward to it."
Ummmmm... no. I wasn't looking forward to it. At all. I feared it and I was unnerved that despite the obvious similarities to Katrina with what I had written MONTHS earlier, I still sensed that a "dirty bomb" attack was imminent.
So in response to Stang, here is what I wrote on Usenet, LiveJournal, and in MySpace just about a year ago:
Well, THE CLEARING has meant many different things to me at different points along the way from May until now. The only parts I have shared with the General Public have been the ominous parts. There were other aspects of 11/18 that ended up holding incredible joy for me. Like, that light in the picture wasn't a "dirty bomb" going off in NYC at all, but the light of a Brand New Day! That's pretty much all I can say (publicly) regarding 11/18's extremely positive aspects. But in the final analysis, the day brought a "Clearing" for me (and many others, actually) and the bright light of something very NEW and very wonderful.
But regarding the ominous parts:
During the day yesterday, I started to feel that THE CLEARING really had passed and that disaster had been, at least for now, avoided. There have been three very high profile "stings" over the past 45 days that, I believe, are directly related to the danger having been averted:
1) The NYC Subway Crackdown
2) The Baltimore Tunnels Shut-Down Incident
3) The arrests in Australia
These put a serious monkey-wrench in plans that, I believe, were afoot. In other words: plots were foiled. The shit can still hit the fan, but not any time soon. So, from my perspective, we have "cleared" THE CLEARING.

So where do that leave us now, in late 2006? Well, as many of you know, my life has completely transformed since then. A short list:
1) Events that actually ending up occurring on 11/18/2005 (that specific day, in the morning, Pacific time) led to me being able to take what basically amounted to an early retirement package from the company I had been with for nearly 20 years --- with a full pension (healthcare for life, etc.), and 2 very generous Lump Sum checks. Believe it or not, something really did "clear" on that date. So... that is what I was referring to rather covertly above. And it really did happen on 11/18. It could have happened on ANY other date, but it happened on that date. The events that occurred on that date directly led to my mid-2006 transformation. I still won't say who it is that I worked for all those years. I'm still very connected to that company - so for most of you folks outside the Inner Circle, it shall continue to remain nameless. But at this point, I suppose you could probably figure it out. If you really cared (and had a bunch of extra time on your hands!). :-)
2) Leaving that company was also the trigger for other major changes in my life as well. It allowed for the NEW FREEDOMS to kick in. I was finally able to resolve a relationship that was long overdue for a resolution. It allowed me to move to my new home here in Sedona, Arizona. 3) I now live in a place where the natural beauty that I'm surrounded by keeps me in an almost CONSTANT state of awe, joy, and wonder. And in fact, the picture that I always used for THE CLEARING is very symbolic of the place where I now live. Open, Free, Beautiful, & Peaceful. Here is that picture ---
So, in conclusion, I wish every single one of you a life that's filled with Peace, Joy, and Fulfillment of Purpose. And if that can't happen for you right at this very minute, know that it IS possible. WAY possible. Yup.
